Why can’t The Student Prince be real life?
Whatever you have against Kay, you genuinely can not fault his loyalty. I mean, he’s been homophobic earlier in the fic, so he’s obviously not that big on it. But then Arthur comes out on LIVE TELEVISION and Kay punches someone to defend him. He gets really pissed off about it. He says it himself, “even if he is a bloody poof! He’s our bloody poof!”. Anyone else, he has a problem with, but Kay and Arthur and Gawain must’ve been together for so long and Kay genuinely can not find it in himself to hate Arthur for being who he is, even if he hated Cedric for it.
Kay’s a bit of a pillock, yeah, but he’s so loyal it’s just a little bit uplifting!
